Take the Voter Independence Pledge!

When in the course of human events......

Nearly everyone agrees that the two-party system is stifling democracy in America, and that they want the chance and opportunity to support independent and third party candidates. There are a lot of ways to make this easier, and the Green Party supports these efforts. But, the most important change starts with you, the citizen and voter.

So take the Voter Independence Pledge!

  1. My vote is my own, it is not owned or controlled by any party, or any candidate.
  2. A party or candidate must earn my vote.
  3. I reject the politics of fear and division, and embrace the politics of hope and inclusion.
  4. All political power resides with the citizens, and is loaned on a temporary basis to our elected officials
  5. I support a vibrant, citizen-powered democracy, where the people control the government, and not the other way around.

Our rights as Americans were endowed upon us by the Creator, and as such, cannot be rightfully infringed by any person, group, or government.

It is time to reclaim our democracy and our nation! Your efforts can make it happen.

For once, as a US citizen, I can say that truly I’m very proud to be one of your “sincere supporters”. Don’t give up for your thoughtful goals and know that “we are always behind you”!
